Family-and-Medical-Leave
Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) – Federal law allows you up to 12 weeks of unpaid medical leave per year, after you have worked for an employer with 50 or more employees, for a year (at least 1250 hours) and need time to take care of a serious health condition of your own or that of an immediate family member. Terminating an employee for taking FMLA leave is a violation of the law. There are many hoops to jump through to get FMLA. If you need help contact Fort Lauderdale discrimination attorney Randy A.
